Dr. Ishrat Hussain’s book on CPEC inaugurated

Islamabad – Secretary Planning Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui has said that personalities like Dr. Ishrat Hussain amicably understand the CPEC and its benefits, and can transfer the economic benefits of CPEC to others through his pen.

 Secretary Planning Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui expressed these views in Islamabad during book launching ceremony of “CPEC & Pakistani Economy” written by Dr. Ishrat Hussain.

He said that Dr. Ishrat Hussain has always been serving the nation with great loyalty and sincerely; he always worked for the progress and development of the country. IMF has also impartially commented on the book which is highly regarded and positive. 

He said that the writer has not only given the answers to all the questions related to CPEC but has elaborated a comprehensive policy for coming generations, which would be helpful for the governing institutions. 

In his speech, Dr. Ishrat Hussain introduced the book and said: “the credit of the book goes to federal minister for planning Ahsan Iqbal and am praying for his sublime health,”. 

Dr. Ishrat Hussain further said that the purpose of writing this book is to recognize the facts of CPEC to the International world. He said that this book contains policy in which youth will have benefits for centuries.

During the meeting Chinese Ambassador H.E Mr. Bao Jing while appreciating Dr. Ishrat Hussain’s efforts, said that Dr. Ishrat did tremendous work for the progress and development of the country. “China wants to see Pakistan as a developed economic country,” he said, saying that besides two governments, private institutions ought to play their role for the development. 

Secretary Board of Investment Sumaira Siddiqui while speaking the function said that she was lucky to discuss the ideal personality like Dr. Ishrat who played a terrific role in the country’s economy and development. She said that Dr. Ishrat’s book will leave very positive impact nationally and internationally.
