Pak-Saudi cooperation

Lahore – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has shown its interest in cooperating with Pakistan on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects. Riyadh will be investing in energy, mineral and oil sectors.

This is really a great initiative that will create job opportunities and put Pakistan on the road to prosperity. It is believed that Imran Khan’s visit to Riyadh proved fruitful for Pakistan and opened collaboration prospects for the country.

However, Pakistan has sought financial assistance of $12 billion from Saudi Arabia to overcome the economic crisis. But let’s hope Pakistan successfully achieves its economic targets without experiencing a halt of any of the CPEC projects.

It might be true that Saudi Arabia has come to cooperate with Pakistan so that the country could support the kingdom in the Yemen conflict. However, Pakistan must maintain its policy of neutrality over the Yemen conflict.
